New Tab, New Window Reloaded — Chrome Extension

Effective date: June 19, 2026

In short: This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. It only saves your own settings, and it has no servers, analytics, or trackers.

Information we collect

None. New Tab, New Window Reloaded does not collect or transmit any personal or sensitive information. We do not have any servers, and no data ever leaves your browser to us.

Settings you configure

The only data the extension stores is your own configuration — for example the chosen window position and size, focus preference, minimum-tab threshold, and your list of excluded URLs. These are saved using Chrome's storage API.

If you are signed in to Chrome, these settings may sync across your devices through your own Google/Chrome account (Chrome Sync). That synchronization is handled entirely by Google under your account; the developer of this extension never receives or has access to it.

Permissions

  • storage — used solely to save and sync the settings described above. No other permissions are requested.

The extension does not request access to your browsing history, the content of web pages, your tabs' URLs, your location, or any host permissions.

What we do not do

  • No personal data is collected, stored on our servers, or transmitted.
  • No analytics, telemetry, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
  • No data is sold or shared with third parties.
  • No reading of your browsing history or the content of the pages you visit.

Children's privacy

The extension is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
